In this lesson, you'll learn how to adapt your pillars and ideas into a content strategy and editorial calendar that will guide you in creating purposeful content.
In the previous lesson, you learned about content pillars and generated guiding ideas and concepts for your content.
What we're doing looks a little like this, a 4 step process to help you construct content that is rooted in a plan.
What can often happen with blog posts is that we say "I need to blog more" but then when we set aside time on our calendars to write blog posts-- and your calendar says something like 'write 3 blog posts', we sit down to write and feel overwhelmed because we don't know what we want to talk about. Or, you may have some ideas but aren't totally sure how it fits into your overall strategy or how to optimize it for SEO.
We've started with step 1 and step 2, and now here we're working on step 3, conducting
that long-tail keyword research and composing a content strategy. In the final lesson, we'll focus on the WRITING of the blog posts. Now, we are strategizing and planning.
